Narrative Collections

It would be useful to have a Narrative Collections Tab - similar to the Collections feature in Scrivener.

This way, writers can play around with various Narrative structures and save them for future consideration and compare them on screen and within the same Aeon project.

These wouldn’t have to sync with Scrivener - only the Narrative View would sync to Scrivener.

OR, ideally, there could be an option to select/nominate the favoured Narrative Collection that a writer would like to be synced to Scrivener.

Following up on Narrative Collections - would anybody else find this a useful feature?

Hi Adelaide,

Thank you for following up on this suggestion.

We’re still reading through the feedback and ideas in this thread, as well as the related discussion in the Multiple Narratives topic. It’s clear there’s interest in being able to explore and compare different narrative structures without duplicating large amounts of work.

We’re continuing to consider the best way to support these kinds of workflows in the future. While we don’t have anything to announce at this stage, feedback like yours is very valuable in helping us understand how people are using Aeon Timeline and the kinds of tools that would be most useful.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts and for checking back in on the discussion.

Kind regards,

Riaan

Hi Riaan,

Thanks for your reply.

I understand that the discussion under ‘Multiple Narratives’ is related in one sense but my suggestion is really based on a similar idea to the ‘Collections’ concept in Scrivener. I did originally propose this idea under the ‘Multiple Narratives’ thread but feedback from one user suggested I begin a new thread so the concepts are not confused as although related, they are quite different.

Many thanks to you and the team for a brilliant product!

Adelaide

Hi Riaan,

I just noticed a post called ‘Restructuring Narratives’ that sounds like a very similar request to Narrative Collections.

kind regards,

Adelaide
