Aeon Timeline 3.4.34 macOS Tahoe screenshots

I am struggling with simple things in spreadsheet view and cannot relate the screenshots in the Getting Started instructions Getting Started | Aeon Timeline with what I see in macos tahoe.

How would I for example in a legal case have only Events and Documents visible as rows, or also Organizations and people? I simply dont find it and google AI sends me around in circles.

Thanks

Hi @sqrtx,

Thanks for posting, and sorry for the confusion.

That Getting Started guide is for the latest version of Aeon Timeline, version 3.5.

If you’re using version 3.4, you can find the matching guide here:
https://www.aeontimeline.com/3-4-guides/getting-started

In version 3.4, you have a single Spreadsheet view. The item types shown as rows in that view are controlled by which item types are set to appear in chronological order.

To change this:

  1. Open Settings (gear icon at the top right of the app)
  2. Select the Item Types tab
  3. Select the item type you want to show as rows, such as Events or Documents
  4. Under Show In, select Chronological order
  5. Confirm your settings changes

In version 3.5, this works differently. You can have multiple Spreadsheets and choose which item types are shown in each tab, which is why there are some options in 3.5 that aren’t available in 3.4.

Hi Rebecca, thanks, the link I had posted before looked to me like your 3.4 link, but when I click it again now I get the correct pics. probably some Safari cache or something. all well, thanks!
