i ve been searching for tools that could help me to work on astrology+history timeline : to help me seeing correlations between planets positions and historical events.
most of tools are not very interesting and closed to any evolution.
such a feature might not be easy to make as there is different ephemerides.
now i believe there would be a great demand on the growing astrologers market for such a tool (if it ever include a graphical representation of charts)
also I do mostly work on Obsidian and wish there is one day a full integration to it thru a plug in.
and also wish a vertical representation of the TimeLine… it would be very helpfull
or do you think such a thing would be possible to vibe code? im not a dev
Thanks for sharing this. Using a timeline to compare historical events with planetary positions is an interesting use case, and I’d be curious to understand a little more about how you would ideally want the two to work together.
For example, would you want Aeon to calculate the planetary positions automatically from the date of an Event, or would you be bringing in ephemeris data from elsewhere and using Aeon mainly to compare it against the historical timeline? And for the graphical charts, would you want these associated with individual Events, or available as another way of viewing the timeline as a whole?
Aeon doesn’t currently calculate ephemerides or generate astrological charts, but understanding how you would want to work with that information would be useful.
Thanks as well for the feedback around astrology-related features, Obsidian integration, a vertical Timeline View, and ways Aeon could be extended in the future. I’ll pass these suggestions along to our development team for consideration.
i would imagine it as having the planetary aspects as “events” :
this requires to create a kind of algorythm or equation where you could fit different ephemerides and generate the events on the time line (astrology uses geocentrical view)
and being able to customise it thru filters, nodes/degrees of aspects between planets… etc
another interesting feature would be to fit a specific chart (like a natal chart) on top of that timeline and generate the aspects in between them (for exemple, if u want to compare the chart of the US birth/constitution date over time)
lastly, yet utopic, a full integration of astro app within the AeonTimeline. basically, once the ephemerides sync to timeline, i guess its just a matter of coding different renderings maybe?
it is really not easy to set up i think
but im sure there would be a demand on it. especially for historical astro.
all the astro apps are in very closed evironment at very high price and never propose such features.
and i can see that the demand is expending since lot of people use the appstore free and easier to use apps (such as TimeNomad)
