I’m using an expanded list of data types – probably larger than most, I suspect – and I don’t want them all clogging up the sidebar. However, as far as I can tell, that prevents me from ever seeing a list of that item type… is that correct? Or have I missed some functionality somewhere?
For reference, I’m working primarily on Windows, with some additional ios usage
I can’t speak to the Windows version, although I suspect AT is the same in this respect for both Windows and Mac.
Go into “settings”, the gear at the right upper corner of Aeon’s main window, and choose the Item Types tab.
The “show in” section has a checkbox for Sidebar. You can check/uncheck that for any item type at any time, including or dropping it from the sidebar view.
I don’t think there are any side effects. It’s just a display option.
Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly that’s exactly what I’m trying to avoid doing – I DON’T want them in the sidebar because I have a lot of data types, and it gets cluttered. What I’m trying to find out is if there’s any way to view all of X or Y data type without putting it in the sidebar… as far as I can tell, there isn’t, which feels like a really odd restriction.
Currently there isn’t a way to see a list of our items other than the sidebar, however we are working on providing the ability to view tables of other item types (such as characters).
