I’ve found when working with fantasy and sci-fi calendars, having the month start on a set day of the week is a common hallmark of that type of calendar. I found mention of this idea here, and since I haven’t found it mentioned in this part of the forum I thought I would reiterate the interest in this feature.
I’m looking for this solution too. My problem is that I’m keeping 365 days per year but fudge the extra days between months as “festivals.” Currently I have to include a 1-3 day festival “month” between each actual month to make it happen and I can’t use the weekday tracking as it’s inaccurate for my world.
I need this as well. I created a custom calendar that is meant to be rational – 13 months of 28 days, with each month starting on a Monday. The extra day is an intercalary day (Midsummer) and is not a day of the week. In leap years, there are two intercalary days.
What I need is Sunday — intercalary day(s) — Monday.
The year always starts the day after the intercalary days.
