Sometimes, there’s just not enough space on your monitor to show everything you want (or need) to see.
It’s great that the Inspector Panel can be kept open but that reduces the space for the Tab content.
One simple fix would be making the Inspector Panel floatable (in its own window). Being able to detach it from the main window and float it perhaps on a separate monitor would be awesome and so helpful.
Thanks for sharing the suggestion - I can definitely see how having the Inspector detached into its own window could be useful, particularly when working with larger or more detailed timelines where screen space starts becoming a limiting factor.
While this isn’t something Aeon Timeline currently supports, it’s really helpful for us to understand more about the workflows behind requests like this when thinking about future interface improvements.
I’d be interested to hear a little more about the type of work you’re doing in Aeon Timeline as well. For example, are you working with particularly large research projects, worldbuilding, historical timelines, legal case material, or something else? And is the main challenge needing to keep detailed Inspector information visible while navigating the timeline, or more about maximising usable workspace across multiple monitors?
If you’re comfortable sharing, a screenshot of your workspace setup or timeline layout (with any sensitive information removed) could also be really helpful for understanding how you’re currently working.
