I currently have a timeline using the Gregorian Calendar and need to switch to the Julian Calendar.
I tried setting up a new timeline and adjusting the calendar but it isn’t working.
When I copy and paste something from the Gregorian calendar the offset is 14 days, but in 1800s Russia it is 12 days.
How do I set it correctly?
Or even better, is there a template using that calendar so I can just plug it in?

Regarding the copy and paste issue, we’d like to investigate that further. If you’re happy to do so, could you attach your timeline (or a simplified copy of it) and let us know exactly which item(s) you’re copying and where you’re pasting them? We’ll take a closer look and see why you’re seeing a 14-day difference.

I used an empty Timeline, followed the instructions in the Knowledge Base, and then tested it by entering one event – I picked Russian Orthodox Lent and Easter, Julian calendar dates for 1825. I kept getting a response of 14 days instead of 12, so while the dates were correct, the day was wrong.
Your demo calendar is accurate. I looked at the calendar settings, and your Era Leap Year settings look like what I did.
I’d love to just use your demo, but I can’t save it. Any suggestions?

If you’re still seeing the day difference after testing with the demo, let us know the exact dates you’re comparing (or attach a simplified copy of your project), and we’ll be happy to investigate further.
Follow-up question. I thought I could copy an event from the Gregorian calendar into the Julian calendar, and have it adjust the days for the date, but nope. All I get is the name of the event, no metadata at all.
Is there a trick to this, or is it impossible? I’d hate to have to enter all this info manually.

There is currently an issue with relationships not being retained when copying items between timeline files, which we’re working on fixing.
To help us determine whether this is what you’re encountering, the quickest option would be for you to send us copies of both your Gregorian and Julian timeline files. We can then look at how the Item Types, Properties and Relationships are configured and test the copy process using your setup.

If you’re not comfortable sharing the files with us, that’s completely fine. Instead, let us know what Item Types, Properties and Relationships are associated with one of the events you’re trying to copy, and we can work through the setup from there. It may just take us a little longer to identify exactly what’s happening.
