Timeline not loading

Hi there,
I just tried to open my timeline and it simply won’t open. I was working on it, closed Aeon, restarted pc, and now it won’t load. It only shows a dark screen with white loading dots. Does this mean all my work is lost? Don’t know if it is relevant but it was synced with Scrivener.

App Version

Version: 3.3.8
Application Shell: 3.3.20

  • *Are you able to reproduce this bug reliably? - Yes. Across devices. Tried opening it on another windows computer and still it won’t load.
  • *Can you make this bug happen with a clean timeline file? - No.
  • *Does it only happen with a specific timeline file? - It’s the only one I have.

As requested on these instructions I will be sending the file to support@timeline.app.

I have sent through to your email a fixed timeline file, our developers are looking into what could have caused the issue.

Dear aeon timeline team

Have you found a solution?

I have today experienced a crash upon opening aeon timeline, wich I did acces a couple of weeks ago.
It crashes completely during several attemps. At its best, I get to see the opening window for about 2 seconds…

You have any suggestions? I did buy a licence march 2024

Hi Peter,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
As I suggested in another thread, the first thing to do would be to download and reinstall the latest version (Download | Aeon Timeline) to see if that fixes the problem.

Otherwise if this does not, if you can email us at support@aeontimeline.com, we will work through the problem with you.
